V-M Tape Recorder Drive Wheels
Early series V-M tape recorders used both belts and wheels in the drive mechanism. Later series used mostly belts. with the V-M tape recorder model number to ensure you get the correct belt, and use the illustrations to help identify the drive wheel or pressure roller you may need.
Part numbers by illustration letter:
A - Takeup Driver, VM 8018. Models 700, 701, 710, 711, 750.
B - Takeup Driver, VM 15774. Models 710-A, 711-A, 714, 720, 722, 750-A, 755.
C. - Capstan Idler Wheel, VM 8079. All models mentioned for Fig A, B.
D. - Pressure Roller, VM 8123. All models mentioned for Fig A, B.
E. - Pressure Roller, VM 16300 and 43483. All later production 7-inch reel machines based on the Model 730 (Model 1635 basic tape deck).
