V-M Changer AC Switches


AC switches for any brand containing a V-M built record changer are available as follows:

  • Most V-M changers of the 900 and 1200 model number series using the metal switch will use the VM 21338 switch.

  • Changers that have the clear or amber plastic AC switch marked “Molex 1500 D” molded at base of switch housing will use the 3 amp VM 45850 switch.

  • For certain early 1970’s and later changers, mostly used in Zenith phonos, a higher capacity plastic switch may be used as follows:
     - 5 amp switch. Housing in translucent green plastic with “Molex 1500 C” molded at base of switch.
       Order the VM 45773 switch.
     - TV-3 switch. Housing will have “Molex 2500 TV 3” molded at base of switch. THESE CANNOT BE
       REPLACED. There is no solution other than to install a high capacity switch somewhere else on the
       phono to control the power of the changer and electronics.

Contact Us if you are not sure of what AC switch you need. Plastic switches require mail in of old part. We don’t care if the outer plastic housing is in pieces or even incomplete. We need the internal components to build replacement switches.
